New SCIA President

The Board has succeeded in finding a new candidate for the Presidency.

As per 1st June, 2015, Mr. Jens Thieme has been approved by the Board to take over responsibilities of Marcel Brussee, and lead the Association from that date. Jens has previously served as an early SCIA Board member from 2007-2009, and was member of the Board of Directors of SCIP from 2008-2011.

Through his 25 years of leadership in global blue chip pharma, biotech, chemicals and life science corporations he was blessed to learn, apply and teach marketing and strategy excellence.

The Board is very confident that he will bring plenty of new ideas while furthering the initiatives that were started by the serving Board.

For a low annual contribution you can enjoy high calibre content and professional exchange like this week’s talk by Marc Henauer about cybersecurity.

It is highly relevant to both intelligence practitioners and service providers as most data gathering and services take place online nowadays.

Stay tuned for discussions around the topic right here in this group.

Swiss competitive intelligence and strategy planning professionals:
You need SAFE data. And you need to be SAFE yourself!

Digitalization offers vast benefits of increased data and information availability.
But do you understand YOUR risks and the threats for your company?

As an intense data and information user in competitive intelligence or any other strategic decision and planning role your are at constant risk!

So is your company.

While your IT department deals with the technical side of these threats you need to make sure that your data sources are reliable, safe to use and accessible.

SCIA, the Swiss representative association for all competitive intelligence and strategic planning related professionals, is proud to present:

Marc Henauer, the Head of 'The Reporting and Analysis Centre for Information Assurance (MELANI)’ with the Federal Intelligence Service FIS in Berne, Switzerland.

Marc will provide vital insights and solutions for:

- Threat and Risks in Cyberspace
- Threat Actors and Mechanisms
- The Paradigm Change: From IT-Security to Information Assurance

Who is it for?

This session is essential for all competitive intelligence managers, strategic planners and anyone handling digital data from and within the cyberspace.

IT security staff should also be interested complimenting their technical risk mitigation strategies and programs.

We also welcome anyone who has a general interest in counter intelligence measures and data safety profiling regarding digitalization in your organization.

-

Please register online and forward this message to like-minded colleagues and anyone who might benefit from Marc Henauer’s expertise.

I will also engage with the membership with SCIA strategy updates and some exciting new options for the members and partners.
