Hi Jayanth,
Just to let you know that your college has finally got in touch with our HR. Quite interesting to know that we would have a ready recruitment pool. But I would like to know more about what you learn on CI. Do you have a detailed syllabus which you can mail me or our HR so that we can take a decision.
Thanks
Nimalan

We are not specific about the schools we hire from but rather on the individual. We have never hired a "CI grad" as such till now but we are pretty flexible. We could look at your school too.

Jayanth, thanks for the kind words about the podcast. Once I get my head back above water on a major project at work I am going to get back on the podcast wagon. I've missed interviewing these great CI thought leaders and te stimulation that comes from doing the podcast. I hope you enjoyed the recent show on CI in India!

Dear Jayanth - thank you very much for your kind comments and welcome to the forum. I am always happy to help. I'm thinking of trying to travel to India sometime in 2009 and possibly arrange a workshop - when is the best time to visit?

Hello Jayanth: It is great to have you on board here at our Ning site. We have a growing number of site members from India, and many of us view your beautiful country as one of the places where we expect the field will grow the fastest in the coming years. I should also note that I am fortunate to have a few students from India in my courses every year and find them to be among our best students. Incidentally, one of my excellent former Indian CI students was my top student that semester and has moved on to become a key manager at a major international manufacturing company headquartered in Ohio, USA.

As for answering your question, I am still putting together my course materials for the upcoming semester, and would be happy to send you a copy as soon as I have it finalized. I just needed to add a few more resources to it which is one reason why I was looking for some helpful podcasts like the ones you suggested. Please send me a note in about three weeks and I should have it finished by then and available to send to you. Wishing you the best in your CI studies, Professor Craig Fleisher

I am enjoying the book, still working through it with all my other reading, but I like the practicality of it. Practitioners of the art need more than academic treaties on the subject. And thanks for making it a Kindle selection--when you travel aro…

Well getting a clean feed takes a combination of good web-sources and appropriate taxonomy-based semantic filters. It seems your friend's RSS is clean and thus it may be worth to look at his/her taxonomy. Any insight?

Indeed Richard you seem pretty well covered as far as information retrieval is concerned. What about analysis, sharing, collaboration with others? What about aggregating those feeds together? Any insights would be helpful.

I use e-sobi. It is a rss and podcast feed reader. I can add the feeds I want, I can store pages for later use, I can set alerts. Seems to be more powerful than the free readers. SInce you can organize it the way you want, it provides a way to quick…
