s to a company's business continues to be a major challenge for most C
I professionals.  There are several typical reasons given for this: N
ot sure how to do it; it requires a joint approach with other departme
nts, with some \"political\" complications; or, just never tried it â€
“ seems too complicated.  However, for those few that have tried and
those very few that have made it a regular part of their CI practice,
the satisfaction and benefits are more than welcomed.  This will desc
ribe both the measurements you might use to assess your CI and some of
the most effective ways to communicate the results.\n \nLearning Obj
ectives:\n\nYou will become familiar with a variety of quantitative an
d qualitative measures that can be used for assessing the value and/or
effectiveness of CI products and operations.\nSome aspects of CI oper
ations are more problematic; i.e., assessing the value of NOT taking s
ome action due to an Early Warning alert, or evaluating the overall pe
rformance of a CI program.  These will also be addressed.\nLastly, th
e Webinar will provide an understanding of how a CID member might appr
oach the task of assessing the value of their CI products and services
.\n\n \nKey Takeaways:\n 1. Knowing what measures can be used to ass
ess the value and/or effectiveness of your CI products and operations.
\n 2. Understanding which measurers are most appropriate for differen
t CI operations and activities.\n 3. Becoming familiar with the best
way(s) to communicate the value and/or effectiveness of your CI produc
 ts and services.\n \nJan P. Herring is a well-recognized expert in th
