Hi Andrew: Things are percolating with SCIP for sure. It is good that Jonathan was there as he always provides an interesting perspective and experiences. Our meeting sin San Diego were interesting as ever. I'm hoping some folks blogged their comments as I didn't make it to as many sessions as previously hoped due to feeling a bit ill. In any case, please keep us posted on what is happening there in the UK. Cheers, Craig

This initiative is being led by a number of individuals, starting with Arik Johnson. SCIP is not formally involved, although a fair number of people in the group are SCIP members. The majority likely are not. Thanks for dropping in and please feel free to let others with an interest in CI know about this group, invite them to join, and share with th group as you see fit. Good wishes...

Adeline Du Toit from South Africa offered me to join. It is very interesting to see this network of CI professionals connected via the Internet. Do you know about the organization behind this initiative? Is this SCIP?

Hi Mike: You could absolutely set up a S. Africa-specific forum here. It is easy to do, and since you are already a member, could do it yourself by following the site's instructions. Arik and I plan to use the site for some other exciting initiative sin the coming weeks and months, so please stay tuned. You will see us loading up more "value-added" materials so that interested individuals anywhere around the globe will have a place to go to answer their questions, ask their questions, and feel part of the CI community. Thanks again for participating and contributing. Arik and I will both look forward to doing what we can to help you for the 2010 meeting, and I'll talk with him about these things this week while we are at SCIP in San Diego. Wishing yu every continuing success, Craig

Hi Craig
Nice hearing from you. I agree with a conference in 2010 as a follow-up on the last one. We will discuss with Luce and Wilma and in due course let you know. You might also be able to assist with relevant high level multi national companies in the USA that could be approached as sponsors.
This platform that you have created is a fantastic initiative. Much better than any formal society that meets regularly and often have little to add value to its members. Luce and I were discussing the possibility to have a section on this platform for South African members. Would something like that be possible?
Kind regards and all the best.
Mike

Hi Craig!

I like your book with babette. We used it as text book at Drexel University and I still use is now.
back some months ago, I took part in the Aurora webinar and asked a rather kind of different question that time didn't allow to be answered.

Hope to interact with you and all in the nicer place.

Hi Mike: It is so good to hear from you and to have you on board on rapidly growing CI network! I hope that everything is going well for you and am pleased that you'll be participating and contributing in the forum. It will have an active S. African element that I'm confident will add a lot. Stay well, Craig

Good morning Craig
Congratulations with this excellent initiative. This would add much more value than any CI organisation and is in line with the latest internet trends.
I am confident that the blog would become very popular and will become a benchmark in our industry.
Kind regards
Mike Kuhn

Hi M-L-M: Please feel free to invite everyone who you feel would value from this effort to participate and contribute. The more people we have involved, the better it will be for all of us. We want this to become the premier CI networking site and it will only become that if we are all present and accounted for. It is also free, widely available, and multi-functional, and I think you'll be pleased to see some of the functionality and resources we already have discussed adding to the site. Thanks again for getting the word out. Stay well and in touch. Best, Craig

Dear Craig and Arik, thanks for the invite! I will do my best to contribute and I think this is a wonderful idea and contribution to global CI. I have sent invitations to my fellow countrymen and was wondering whether I could also send to some practitioners I know will benefit from a CI group / blog. Arik, do let us know when the littlest Johnson arrives - I call her Isabelle meanwhile...All the very best to you both

Yo Craig, how is the new book doing? I see it in all the book shops that surround my office in downtown DC - way to go!

Craig:

Welcome aboard! Arik set up this site so that we could post SCIP meeting blogs (among other things) until SCIP is ready to handle.

In the meantime, it is really easy to use. I see that you have joined the CTI community of Practice under "Groups." Check out the articles I linked in there. Feedbac welcome!

Martha.
