Re: Kieran's Congressional Research Service question - I haven't used it for CTI (though I imagine it would be very useful for industry-level information); but I just found that GalleryWatch has an extensive collection of CRS reports, more complet...
Hi, Jocelyn. Thank you for your kind words. I guessed (even before I looked on my blog to see what I'd written on September 22) that you were talking about the "it's hard to accept intelligence that breaks your heart" post. Yes, that's very hard to do -- and it's really been a hard last few months for the SF legal community.
Perhaps contrary to what some have posted, I'm aware of at least 40 (perhaps more?) law firms that are developing some interesting internal CI functions, through a variety of structures. Although this isn't a time of expansion for law firms, I see firms routing resources into CI in an effort to find early mover and execution benefits.
There are many good CI resources out here. Use them all. Feel free to call if you just want to run any of your ideas up the flagpole. I'll be happy to give you my reactions, for what they're worth. Accept my very best wishes in your endeavors.
I left a message for you regarding CI in law Firms at the bottom of the page in case you didn't see it - I replied to a reply rather than to you by accident and don't want to repost. In any event, drop me a line if you want to chat more specifically, I've been working in CI in law firms in Canada for over 5 years - at two of the countries most successful firms. Email if you want and we can set up a time to chat.
Hi Jocelyn: Thanks for joining our group. You are in one of the "hot growth" areas of our field. I am confident you'll find our community to be a welcoming and helpful one to you in your program development activities. Good wishes, Craig

Thanks for sending me the link, Arik. Looks interesting, and I am glad to see you got Gabriel Andebjork with you. I am sure if Per Jenster had been at home in Shanghai right now he would have linked to come.
Take care,
