Why should you do social media:

• Faster than print media

• Insights

• Cheap

• Instant feedback

• Your competitors are listening to social media

You can follow selected people on LinkedIn and follow the same people on Twitter.

You  may know all that. But it is nice to hear it from a CI professional in a big company.

So here are some questions to ponder:

  1. How do you track this river of news and sentiments (what are the tools and services?)
  2. How do you analyze the data, connect the dots to form insights?
  3. What kind of DIY tools (that do not cost an arm and a leg) you can build to provide this service to your clients?
