Organization Description

Oracle Competitive Intelligence is a critical enabling component that helps sales to be more effective in competing and winning deals. Competitive Intelligence provides timely, relevant and actionable content, tools and sales consultation against major commercial players as well as pure-play and open source vendors.

Position Description

Provide leadership and expertise in middleware competitive analysis.

This senior level individual contributor will work closely with Oracle sales, product management and product marketing to position Oracle Fusion Middleware and related tools against competitors in the Platform as a Service (PaaS) and middleware space, including Application Server, Distributed Data Grid, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Business Process Management (BPM) technologies. The position involves deep competitive analysis, content and sales tools creation, sales training, and deal support.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter and a team player. He/she will have a competitive intelligence, product management, technical product marketing &/or sales related background, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong technical knowledge of PaaS and middleware technologies, and keen understanding of how IBM, TIBCO, Software AG, JBoss and VMware compete in this space.

• Proven experience providing leadership and expertise in middleware competitive analysis
• Experience with Application Server, Cloud, SOA, Integration and BPM technologies
• Demonstrated product/project management experience
• Ability to work with sales, product management, development, and executives
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Analytical and a strategic thinker / energetic and enthusiastic / self-starter and team player
• Bachelor degree or equivalent. MBA preferred

Work Location: Open to any US or Canadian location / Virtual (remote; work from home office) role

Travel Component: Minimal; <20% travel is anticipated
