The CI Division introduces a new series as part of its educational programs, State (and State-of-the-Art) of CI and KM in .  Beginning with the fourth quarter 2013 and through 2014, we may focus on one emerging market each quarter (BRICS), beginning on  December 3rd when the topic is Brazil (and Latin America).

Our presenter for the day is Edson Ito, Competitive Intelligence and Strategy Specialist, located in Brazil. Formerly with Embraer, the Brazilian aircraft company, Ericsson, and Motorola, Edson now teaches at some of the top business and economics schools in Sao Paulo, including Fundacao Getulio Vargas, Fundação Instituto de Administração, and Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas. Responsible for the creation of the SCIP chapter in Brazil, and currently a Member of its Board of Directors, Edson has an excellent grasp of CI developments throughout Latin America that he will share with us.
