Tactical, Operational & Strategic Analysis of Markets, Competitors & Industries
Location: Long Island, NY, US
The Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Officer will be responsible for conducting strategic and competitive analyses of Marketing and Internet and Mobile strategies of key financial service providers. The Officer will focus on monitoring the competitive and industry landscape to identify best-in-class practices and emerging trends and providing strategic and competitive insights to Senior Management to influence business unit strategy. In addition, the Officer will help shape strategic direction through the creation of a three-year strategic plan and roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor competitive landscape to assess Marketing and Internet and Mobile strategies of key financial service providers. Focus on linking strategies to financial performance.
Provide analytical support to key business partners to help drive business decisions and drive strategic agenda.
Identify competitor best practices and report actionable insights to Senior Management.
Create and develop long-term strategic plan and roadmap to drive best-in-class function.
Benchmark RCB marketing spend to competitors to influence region and business unit investment decisions
Create competitor Marketing and Internet and Mobile dashboard
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and 5-7 years of research and/or analytical experience. Financial services experience and CFA designation preferred.
Preferred skills:
5 years of research experience, preferably within a Marketing or Internet and Mobile function
Ability to analyze competitor and industry data and correlate with financial performance
Ideal candidate will have a natural intellectual curiosity and strong analytical skills
Effective communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to influence Senior Management
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
