The Sr. Manager Competitive Intelligence will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and presenting competitive intelligence data for the Hepatitis C franchises, including scientific/clinical data and commercial competitive intelligence.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Managing design and execution of competitive intelligence projects—includes defining the objectives and developing an approach, managing the agencies performing the study, analyzing data, preparing presentations and communicating results.  Projects can range from scientifically focused, such as scientific conference coverage, to commercially focused, such as analysis of competitor launch strategies.
• Understanding and integration of secondary data to create full therapeutic area insights.
• Contributing to development of integrated research and analysis plan for indicated franchise.
• Must be articulate with strategic / tactical competitive industry intelligence expertise with a proven history of cross-functional interface among marketing, market research, medical affairs and managed care teams for pre-launch and marketed products.
• Ensuring cross functional communication and alignment to maximize impact of insights on business strategy.
Minimum Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in science
• A minimum of 5 years experience in the pharma/biotech industry with experience in competitive intelligence. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in business preferred (MBA)
• Majority of experience must be based on company/client side.
• Prior experience designing and executing a variety of competitive intelligence projects and exposure to secondary data sources is required.
• Prior experience working in a highly competitive market is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently on most aspects of projects.
• Ability to develop new techniques or approaches on some occasions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in varied stages at once.
• Ability to understand clinical trial data and effectively communicate study results to diverse audiences.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills a must.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in matrix team environment.
• Previous experience working in the therapeutic areas of hepatitis C strongly preferred.
• A strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment, along with demonstrated integrity on the job.
