John M. Koval III, 27, is a certified consultant at Playmaker Systems, LLC, a management consultancy and software development firm. His work includes marketing, communication and public policy guidance for the company’s global Fortune 100 client portfolio. Koval’s fields of expertise include domestic and international policy, enterprise technology marketing, global pharmaceuticals, and social media. He’s a frequent speaker at corporations and universities.
Koval received his master’s degree in strategic public relations at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. At USC, he was enrolled in the first-ever course on influence strategy and based his master’s thesis on the application of the standard table of influence strategies to competitive professional sports.
Koval graduated with honors from Miami University in Ohio where he majored in diplomacy and foreign affairs, minored in Latin American studies, and wrote an op-ed column for The Miami Student. He interned in Washington, D.C., for Conflict Securities Advisory Group and Ohio Senators George Voinovich and Mike DeWine. While at Miami, he attended the American University Washington Semester Program and studied abroad in Luxembourg, Spain and Chile. He is fluent in Spanish.
