Case studies will be presented on two companies that are consistent innovators: Novamont, an Italian bioplastics company, and ketchup giant Heinz. Both companies are tied economically to resource sustainability, one for manufacturing feedstock and one for cost considerations. Two key points will be made:
--Innovation can be found all along the value chain, not just in product development.
--Strategic planners need coordinated CI support across the value chain.
Following a brief presentation on the two case studies, attendees will be invited to brainstorm regarding the competitive environment in these two cases.
