Why and how did you become a SCIP member and how are your expectations and requirements met?
I started this discussion at the SCIP LinkedIn group and would like to extend it towards the CI Ning community as well.
The plan is to gather input, respond individually and periodically provide direct feedback to the discussion's participants as a group. I know these or similar questions have been asked time and again in various facettes but with SCIP's obvious eagerness to get moving as a truly global organization I'd like to get a really fresh look into this. Especially under the impression of the current economic situation:
I would be eager to gather some insight how SCIP members got to know the association and about their experience with the society and its members over the years. Why would you recommend to others to join or why would you refrain from doing so? Which expectations have been met, disappointed or exceeded? What are your personal hopes and wishes for SCIP as a member, particulalry as a non-US member?
