Information Warfare refers to strategic communication, in which information is used as means to first influence opinions and than impact behaviour
While the concept of public relations is based on harmonic, two-sided communication models, the objective of “information warfare” is to win the battle for public opinions or opinions of stakeholders. Information professionals have to be able to identify and analyze these issues in order to generate important intelligence. Your company can thus suffer damage or gain advantage due to these circumstances. Therefore, your company’s communication strategy has to be scrutinized critically from an information warfare perspective.
This workshop highlights strategies and models for typical information warfare tasks of an intelligence professional. In closing, ethical issues of information warfare will be addressed.
