How can one gain experience in the CI area when no one is willing to take on a candidate with no experience. After all, to gain experience, you need a company willing to take a chance. How do we over come the "Catch 22" situation
Precisely right, as a CI Manager I wouldnt take on someone with no demonstrable experience and knowledge of key competitors, segments. The way you get the chance to move onto a CI team, is to take a lower level post in product marketing perhaps as a basic market/category analyst. If you cut the mustard there you will get the Intelligence Manager's attention, count on it.
