Profile Information

About Me:
I hold a BSc (Honor) in Engineering, an MBA from the University of Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona (Spain) and a DEA from ESADE Business School. I am also a Ph.D. candidate at ESADE business school (URL).

At the moment I am an associate professor of the University of Pompeu Fabra, (Barcelona, Spain) and I was a visiting professor at Tampere University of Technology (Tampere, Finland) were I have searched on business/competitive intelligence.

I have written several article and paper about CI and I am doing several researches about competitive intelligence (see for instance: www.world-class-ci.com & www.mappingthelandscape.com). I am a co-author (with Dr. Joaquín Tena) of the following books:

1) Mapping & Anticipating the Competitive Landscape
2) Inteligencia Competitiva y Vigilancia Tecnológica (In Spanish)
3) Software for Technological Patent Intelligence.

With Dr. John E. Prescott I am also working in a new project. The book titled " Pathways to World-Class Competitive Intelligence Function: Building and managing a Competitive Intelligence Function through a systematic approach” will be published by fall 2008 by John&Wiley

I am currently the director of the Spanish competitive intelligence magazine (PUZZLE - Revista de Inteligencia Competitiva) and I was an editorial member of the Journal of Competitive Intelligence and Management (2003-2006). I am also run a small consulting company (2IC) specialized in Competitive Intelligence.
