I'm passionate about applying business intelligence and analysis methods in the strategic sourcing process. The CI / BI - disciplines have many relevant applications for Procurement, e.g. in the selection of financially and commercially viable suppliers and in the post-award monitoring of suppliers.

Intelligence in Procurement?

Procurement professionals are expected to select suppliers that provide best value-for-money for the company they work for. Implementing some solid business intelligence methods in the supplier selection process is one way of securing best value-for-money and reducing the risk of supplier failure.
