About Me:
Avner Barnea is a former senior member of the Israeli Intelligence Community and is a strategic consultant in CI and business strategy in Israel and abroad. He has an intensive experience in the integration of CI systems into Israeli corporations. Avner is lecturing on CI in the MBA program of the Ono Academic College, Israel and is a guest lecturer on CI at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Business School and other MBA programs in Israel. Avner is chairing the Competitive Intelligence seminar in the Info 2009 conference, May 2009, Israel.He holds a MA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Martha, Yes - I follow the news about strabucks it the US and just have seen the report in Fortune. I'm in the process of translating it to Hebrew and to publish in an Israeli management magazine. It is also in process of becoming a case study that will be discussed in the academic year of 2008/9. I'm still getting comments and surprising help in information from ex Starbucks' people in Israeli. The more I get, the more I see that my analysis is right. Best, Avner

Your Starbucks report of 2007 is quite timely, at least in the US. Starbucks is trying to re-establish the "fresh-ground coffee aroma" as key to regaining position. Let's see if it works for Israel!!
